Wheels for Independence 🚲

At John F. Kennedy School in Modesto, our students already love to ride. Each week, classes share a small fleet of about six bikes and trikes on the campus track. But that fleet is aging, worn, and too limited for a school that serves students from TK through age 22.

Your gift will help us build a fleet of 15 new trikes, including traditional, recumbent, and fully adaptive models in overlapping sizes. That way every student can be matched to equipment that fits their body and support needs. Our APE, OT, and PT staff will help finalize the adaptive units so each one is safe and the right fit.

Your support also creates the JFK Bike Shop, with a workbench, repair tools, and replacement parts. Students will help clean, organize, and maintain the fleet, which builds real job skills while keeping the bikes rolling for years.

Our goal: $20,000. Every gift helps:

• $250 covers helmets, tubes, tires, or repair supplies

• $650 puts one traditional trike in the fleet

• $1,300 funds an adaptive trike

• $3,000+ helps fund a fully supportive Rifton adaptive trike
